Before my experience with Trip of a Lifetime, I thought of all the possibilities how it would change me. I felt happy that the purpose of coming to this trip was to realize the difference of coming out of our own environment into another. It made me change my perspective of things. My favorite part of the trip was going to Mount Rushmore, the Badlands, mountain bike riding and water rafting. I say that these are my favorite parts of the trips because when you go to each event it always differs from one another. When I went to Mount Rushmore it gave me more insight into the four presidents and why they’re meaningful to us as Americans. The Badlands is one of my cherished moments of the trip because it’s out of my environment and it gives me a chance to go out and explore. What I’d learned from these experiences is that when you go out and explore it’s only a onetime thing. That while you're out there exploring, you’re recognizing the purpose and meaning the place is opening your eyes to and that’s how Trip of a Lifetime did that for me. Trip of a Lifetime made me into a better person that I am from traveling and experiencing these things we had experienced together. Trip of a Lifetime gave me this opportunity and I’m really glad that I’d took it. If you ever took a second to think about the name it really defines the experiences that Trip of a Lifetime has given me. When I left from Trip of a
Lifetime, I was already looking forward to coming again next year. It wasn’t a day pass by from me not informing others about Trip of a Lifetime. This program invited me in and left a memorable mark that inspires me to go out into my school community to make a difference. This program showed how it changed my life and therefore it can change many others. When I go to school this Fall I will broadcast how Trip of a Lifetime was to me. I will encourage them and inspire them to go to this program. I will tell the stories of my experience in Trip of a Lifetime to them and tell them how it has changed me. When I came home from Trip of a Lifetime, I started to broadcast to my friends and their parents of how great this program is. How they can get their children into this program so it can make a difference to them too. This is only the beginning of me making a difference to my community and I’m looking forward to expanding it more. I look forward into telling my community about this program and how amazing it actually is. I also look forward to next year and seeing what next year will bring me from Trip of a Lifetime. I thank Trip of a Lifetime to this day of how it molded me because without this program I don’t know how I would have changed. I was always told that the “cup was always half empty” for myself and this is one of the biggest opportunity that I’d took to make me into who I am. This how the events of Trip of a Lifetime formed me to make a difference to myself, the community and learn things I haven’t learned. Thanks again to Trip of a Lifetime.
