This was the best two weeks I have ever spent away from home and the two weeks I will always remember. It was literally a trip of a lifetime, not soon forgotten. This experience brought me new friends, endless laughs, and memories that will stay with me. The people there were incredibly nice and the counselors met my first day away from home bearable. Regardless of a little homesickness, I had the best time. Since I experience this in my life it will stay forever change in my life, in a good way, because I’ve seen things people never saw. I have experience new thing.
The Rein teen tour taught me things I never knew, showed me places I never been to and encouraged me to do many things in so many ways and how to fine solution to it. It has definitely been memorable and years from now I will be able to tell a story about it in many ways and vivid colors as if it was just happened yesterday that I returned from this amazing trip with joy, happiness and love from everyone on my trip. This trip has influenced a lot of changes on me and my life, because One of the activities that influenced the most change on me was the Unity Shoppe, because the Unity Shoppe was a place that helped to provide needed of food, clothing and basic necessities to low income working families, their children and the elderly of Santa Barbara county. The Unity Shoppe show me how to mange a shoppe on your own. "It's much easier to help people you know and love, but when you stop to help people you don't know, it's a very meaningful gesture that comes from the heart. That makes you very special".
Among all the Unity Shoppe activities my favorite place was to walked the client though the store, because it was the place where the client take what they want for their families not what you want them to take for their families. You with be the person to walked them though the store.
Out of the many places we went, it’s nearly impossible to choose a favorite. It was amazing to see the Six Flag, bowling, Skiing, and Los Angeles. I was also shown the value of volunteering, as I participated at different environment related volunteer locations, and the beauty in people as I got to know people more and more on the trip. Even though the tour component of Rein Teen Tour’s Tour and Service 2014 was an amazing experience I will never forget, I have to say that it’s the Service part that made me feel good. The Unity Shoppe had its ups and downs, and we showed each other different things about our lives.
The seeing of how the Trip of a Lifetime sent teens to explore kids around the country for them to experIence thing they haven't seeing yet. Through my teen tour experience I’ve learned that there’s more things in life to see, and if I want to experience something like that on my own, I will have to work hard for it. Also giving people changes it’s important, and leaving people you learned to care for it’s hard. In addition by going on this trip it has motivated me to help in my community by bringing teens together to help people that can't provide food and clothing for themselves and their family by helping them with donation and let under privileged teens to go where they would want to explore.
This trip has taught me to have confidence and have a higher self- esteem because what matters what you think about yourself. Also it taught me to be more active in my community and to motivate people in any struggle they have.
